Accessibility statement

What we've done, what's still missing, and how to tell us if something blocks you.

Our goal

We want rutacloud.com to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the benchmark used in the United States for Title III of the ADA. We are not claiming we already meet it fully: we are saying we're working on it, and below you'll find what we still have left.

What already works

  • The whole site can be navigated by keyboard, and the focused element is shown with a clear outline.
  • A "Skip to main content" link appears when you press Tab, so you don't have to tab through the menu on every page.
  • Every form field has a visible, properly associated label, and errors are announced to screen readers.
  • Decorative icons are hidden from screen readers, and images that carry information have alternative text.
  • If your system asks for reduced motion, animations and smooth scrolling are switched off.
  • The site is available in Spanish and English, with the language declared on every page.

What we still have left

We'd rather say it ourselves:

  • We haven't yet run a full test with real screen readers (NVDA and VoiceOver) over the contact journey.
  • Blog posts are written by people, so an image without a description or a heading out of order can slip through.
  • Not all published videos have captions or a transcript yet.
  • Some third-party tools we embed (call scheduling, analytics) are outside our control and may not meet the same standard.

We do not use accessibility overlays

This site carries no widget or "overlay" claiming to make it accessible automatically. Those scripts cannot guess what a badly labelled field is for, and in January 2025 the Federal Trade Commission fined one of their largest vendors one million dollars for claiming they made sites compliant. We'd rather fix the code.

If you run into a barrier on this site, email or call us. We reply within five business days and tell you what we're going to do and when.

In the meantime: anything you can do on this site — request information, book a call, receive a proposal — we will do with you over the phone, at no cost. You don't have to use the website.
