Player-coach in every role.

A data and software engineering leader with more than 20 years of experience. I was Data Engineering Manager at WarnerMedia / HBO Latin America, owning the transactional data workstream of the HBO GO to HBO Max migration. Before that, Software Development Manager and technical lead at Ryder, with teams of up to 30 people.

Recent work applies that engineering depth to AI-enabled systems: multi-tenant SaaS with LLM-powered analytics, agentic workflows and MCP tooling. In every role I've been a player-coach: equally at home setting the architecture and writing the code.

Data engineering

ETL/ELT pipeline design, dimensional and OLAP modeling, data quality and reconciliation, observability, and legacy-to-cloud migrations.

Cloud & warehousing

AWS as the primary cloud (Redshift, S3, ECS, DynamoDB, SQS, Cognito). Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Oracle and SQL Server.

AI systems

Agentic workflows with multi-model orchestration, MCP server development, LLM integration layers, and human approval gates.

Software engineering

Python, SQL, C#/.NET, Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js, React and Prisma. CI/CD with tests, static analysis and secret scanning.

    Founder & Principal Consultant

    Ruta Cloud Consulting

    A data, automation and AI practice serving SMBs and enterprise clients, with a six-person team. Caribbean Portals, RutaCloud CX, Coral AI and Ruta Studio all came out of it.

  2. 2019 — 2021

    Data Engineering Manager

    WarnerMedia / HBO Latin America

    Led the Data Services team that owned the enterprise data warehouse on Amazon Redshift, and the transactional data migration from HBO GO LATAM to HBO Max: large subscriber datasets with reconciliation, quality controls and pipeline observability. Member of the Architecture Committee.

    Tech Lead / Architect

    Ergostream / WalletGuru

    Technical design and implementation of Paystreme, a FIAT/crypto payment platform on the Interledger Protocol for real-time cross-ledger transactions. AWS infrastructure and AML/KYC compliance.

    Software Development Manager · Technical Lead

    Ryder System

    Development of the customer-facing digital platforms — ryder.com, online rental reservations, the used-trucks portal and the RyderGyde app — leading up to 30 developers, including three technical leads and offshore teams.

    Advisor Integration Engineer

    Association of National Advertisers (ANA)

    Advised ANA leadership on the engineering of the U.S. Cross-Media Measurement product (WFA HALO reference designs), translating reference architectures into vendor-executable specifications.
